Disappointed but not Discouraged

We were all saddened last night as the Board of Supervisors of Manchester Township voted to approve of the Warehouse Project.

Our general feeling, with possible exception given to parts of the February meeting at Manchester Township, was that our Representatives did not want to listen to us. We were an 'interference' to their clear agenda. This was strongly communicated through body language in the beginning, and then by blatant requests that we not speak up, or by other attempts at voting quickly - thereby avoiding the public. It is sad that this type of representation is even considered "representation." These are sad times when neighbors can resound that they all felt slighted by those voted to represent us.

We left the meeting astounded that the Supervisors would scold us for not getting legal council. Or getting our own traffic study. Is it not THEIR job to ensure the safety of residents? In fact, they admitted that, had we not protested, they would not have taken some of the minor safety measures they later implemented.

I feel the most compassion for our unfortunate neighbors, Clarence Hare and Roger Lehr, whose quality of home life will be greatly impacted by this decision.

But, we are appreciative of the blessing of neighbors, a passionate effort, and the revitalized neighborhood spirit.

If new news arises, and new meetings occur, we will inform you of such here at NoBearWarehouse.
